If you don't find the answer to your question, please contact us for a prompt answer. Thank you.
Q: Can I use the lab results I already have and still get a Bio-Clarity™ Assessment?
A: Absolutely. As long as there is enough data, you can get an assessment. Remember too, part of the report is a current snapshot of your biochemistry. And since your biochemistry does change over time, we recommend using recent lab tests. It is most valid to use lab tests done in the past three months.
Q: If I don’t have current lab results, can I get new labs from my current provider and still get a Bio-Clarity™ Assessment?
A: Absolutely.
Q: How do I order a Bio-Clarity™ Assessment?
A: Talk with your medical practitioner. If they don’t yet provide it, let us know and we can send them information. Or contact us and we can let you know of other providers in your area that do offer the Bio-Clarity™ family of assessments.
Q: If I don’t have a lab provider, can I also get the order the lab test through Health Director?
A: Sure. Health Director is not a lab testing company, but we do have relationships with many of the larger lab testing companies. You can order your lab tests through us if you need that convenience.
Q: What is the difference between the Bio-Clarity™ Foundational Health Profile and the Bio-Clarity™ Basic Health Assessment?
A: The Bio-Clarity™ Foundational Health Profile is our most comprehensive health assessment. It includes data from 4 lab tests: a comprehensive blood chemistry, urine organic acid and environmental pollutants tests, and a plasma amino acid test.
By having so much data to analyze, you get the most complete picture of your health. It’s like the difference between seeing yourself through an old black and white TV and seeing yourself through a top-of-the-line LCD TV.
The Bio-Clarity™ Basic Health Assessment analyzes data from a comprehensive blood chemistry, commonly called a “CBC”. This is the most cost-effective way to get a reasonable, accurate biochemical picture. The picture you get of yourself form the Bio-Clarity™ Basic Health Assessment is seeing yourself through a nice color TV.
Q: Which assessment is right for me?
A: This depends on your health goals, as well as the disease or condition you are treating. Please refer to the Lab Reference Guide for further details.
Q: Which test should I run first?
A: As a general guideline, we recommend starting with the Comprehensive Blood Chemistry test (CBC). This is the most cost-effective way to get an accurate biochemical picture. It also gives you a baseline for future comparison. Please see our Lab Reference Guide more information on specific medical conditions.
Q: If I can only do one or two tests which should they be?
A: The two we recommend are: first, a comprehensive blood chemistry (CBC); and second, a urine organic acid test. The CBC is the most cost-effective way to get an accurate biochemical picture. It also gives you a baseline for future comparison. The Urine organic acid test measures the metabolic pathways in your body; basically your health at the cellular level.
Q: If I have questions about my assessment do I call the laboratory that ran my test or do I call you at Health Director?
A: Please contact us at Health Director.
Q: Who do I call for if I have more questions?
A: You can contact us here at Health Director or your local sales representative.
Q: How often should I run a Bio-Clarity™ assessment?
A: As you may know, your biochemistry constantly changes. So depending on the extent of the illness or health goals, you should re-test within 3 months to one year. We recommend re-testing every 3 months if:
- You are actively trying to get healthier and you want to measure progress.
- You currently have significant health challenges.
If you are relatively healthy, then re-testing once a year is adequate.
Q: What are the most important supplements among those listed on the Bio-Clarity™ Report?
A: Each person has a different set of recommendations based on their unique biochemical imbalances. However, after running over 50,000 assessments, we have noticed that electrolytes, amino acids, and B-Complex nutrients are most commonly recommended.
Q: Does insurance cover Bio-Clarity™ assessments?
A: Not yet. The lab test itself can often be reimbursed by insurance, and we are happy to help you with that process. The Bio-Clarity™ assessment, though, are not yet covered.
Q: I take medications and supplements. Do I need to stop taking these before I test?
A: No. Continue taking your regular medications and supplements on the day of your test.
